The Joachim Herz Foundation promotes education, science and research in economics and law sciences, the natural sciences and medicine. According to the statutes, the Foundation also supports projects relating to general education, and develops national and international scholarship programs for students and young scientists. Education and personality development are the main focus of the program. The Foundation was established in the summer of 2008, after the death of Hamburg businessman Joachim Herz.

The Robert Bosch Stiftung is one of the largest corporate Foundations in Germany. It was founded in 1964 and continues the charitable efforts of the founder and donor Robert Bosch (1861-1942). The Foundation is primarily concerned with the fields of international relations, education and health. In addition, it also deals with questions of science, society and culture.In the field of education, the Robert Bosch Foundation contributes to quality development in school education, the reform of training professionals teaching at early childhood, to promoting talented young people with a migration background. The entire process of education is taken into account: from early childhood through school, promotion of gifted students, higher education through to lifelong learning.
